1. Usually, under the normal function of the elevator, it will not.
The elevator has an infrared induction device called a light curtain. As long as there is something between the doors, the door of the elevator will not close. In case the light curtain breaks down, there is also the function of "closing force limit". In other words, the maximum closing force is only 50 N, so it will not be clamped. Of course, if your elevator is very old, these functions will not be eliminated!
2. Why do elevators sometimes get stuck?
The opening, closing, and locking of the landing door is the primary condition to ensure the safety of elevator users. In order to prevent the elevator from clamping people when closing the door, a door closing safety device is set on the car door. The common anti-clamping safety devices include a safety touch panel, infrared light curtain, and ultrasonic monitoring device. The phenomenon of elevator landing door clamping generally has the following situations:
1. The elevator landing door closing speed is too fast;
2. The landing door safety touch plate, infrared light curtain, ultrasonic monitoring device are damaged or stolen;
3. When passengers enter the car, they directly prevent the closing action with their hands, feet, body or stick, small push car, and so on, causing artificial damage to the landing door system.
3. What if the light curtain or safety touch panel fails?
Therefore, it is recommended to shake up and down between the two doors of the elevator by hand. If the light curtain does not fail, it will act after receiving the blocking signal, and let the doorstop close and open slowly.
